Galerías del Tresillo is a historic Spanish furniture company with over 50 years of experience in the market. Traditionally known for its quality sofas and home furniture, the company faced the challenge of adapting to the digital era, where more and more customers prefer to research and purchase online. To stay competitive and reach new audiences, Galerías del Tresillo decided to undertake a full digital transformation, focusing on creating a user-friendly online presence and offering e-commerce services. 

The first step was redesigning their website to reflect the brand’s identity while ensuring a smooth and responsive experience for mobile users. The new site included clear product descriptions, high-quality images, and an intuitive layout that made it easy for customers to browse, select, and purchase furniture online. This approach mirrors the principles of digital business planning and customer-centered design emphasized in the course.
In addition to the website, the company invested in digital marketing and storytelling. Campaigns highlighted the brand’s long history and connection to customers’ homes, creating an emotional link through messages like “50 years of infinite memories together.” These efforts helped the company strengthen its brand trust and online recognition, key aspects of building a strong digital presence.

Galerías del Tresillo also introduced interactive features such as augmented reality tools, allowing customers to visualize furniture in their own spaces, and offered online assistance and financing options to make the purchasing process smoother and more personalized. By understanding customer needs and creating convenient solutions, the company improved the overall user experience, echoing the course’s emphasis on knowing your customers and adapting digital tools to meet their expectations.

The results were significant. In just two years, the company saw a 120% increase in online sales, demonstrating how strategic planning, a clear digital presence, and effective marketing can transform a traditional business and drive growth in the modern digital economy.


 


This course builds on a previously piloted and successful training programme developed within the IDEA project, which has been further adapted and improved for the current context.
